Our Pack
Way
back in 2001...Cub Scout Pack 196 was formed in the summer of 2001, when a
group of parents at Jefferson Avenue church of Christ in Cookeville, TN,
joined together to develop a program that would uplift the lives of
their sons and help them develop into reverent, strong men of
outstanding character.
Cub Scout Pack 196 is...
A member
of the Upper Cumberland District
of Area IV of the
Middle Tennessee
Council of Scouting,
Part of the Southern Region
and of the
National Council of
the Boy Scouts of America.
Currently...
Pack 196 has 20 scouts! The pack is chartered by parents of Jefferson Avenue
church of Christ. The pack's scouts come from many different religious
backgrounds, attend many different schools, and come from Putnam County
and
surrounding counties.

Volunteers
We cannot make the scouting program work
without the help of volunteers.
The quality of our program counts on volunteers caring enough to help make everything work.
Everyone needs to pitch in to keep everything going strong. If you
can volunteer as a leader or assistant leader, that would be great! If not,
there are a lot of other ways to help out in the Pack. Just let us know
what you can do, and we’ll gladly use the help you can give.
We all want
the best for the boys in the Pack. Thanks for helping us make Pack 196
the best that it can be for the boys! We’re glad to have
you join us. Get involved and find out how much fun you will have
learning and exploring the world with your son in Cub Scouting!
